Greetings and kind regards to all. I, Gregory, shall be arriving in Ehrenberg in a couple of days and, after some alone time on the river, am so looking forward to sharing your tribe. Briefly: 8 months ago I drove away from my 40 acre/house/spring in very remote central NV for a circular trip to CA & back. My vehicle blew up and I've been backpack/tent nomading since then. Very low funds (solid work refs) the work I expected in the redwoods fizzled out so I'm headed for warmth, tribe and work. I'm a very experienced nomad (5  yrs in minirv in AK including winters/5 years in small sailboat, van living, hiking the Camino de Santiago and much more.) Am honest and spiritually blessed to be nomadic. Thank you all in advance for any and all shared future tribal comararaderie.

Welcome Gregory to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you. highdesertranger

I'm sure sorry to hear about all the setbacks, that really sucks. But it seems like you are handling it as well as possible--good for you!!

Hopefully better times are just around the corner! At the RTR there is a good chance you can get a job for the summer as a campground host if that interests you.

Thank you for your kind and encouraging words. At present I'm at the river enjoying it's beauty. Other than a soon purchased (Monday)fishing license I'm set for awhile. Yes I'll come join you all at the RTR, if not sooner. I do have a set of turn of the century Scottish songs to share if someone has a guitar&capo - Bob I did 7 shows for Joe Lawton at the Palmer AK State Fair, what a kick right next to the 100 lb cabbage. A license then some fish and I always feast on nature so goodwill to all.
