Welcome, 70vdub. Is that your toad? Your RV looks very roomy!!

I venture to alot of VW shows,
in the Instagram photos you can see a 1966 vw I toad to a show... have since sold it.

I have a 1970 VW Westy Camper that I picked up and have been working on.

Welcome! The Honey was one of the best of the coaches in its time, and still many on the road. They don't make them like that anymore!

Welcome aboard 70!
So , how long have you been RVing?

Not long at all, I picked this up in June 2015 and have gone out a few times up to a 200 mile radius so far.
didn't have much history on the coach and have been making notes and service logs and finding any info I can on Honey's.
Hard to find since they have been out of business since 1990?

I will be checking the rear brakes,  replacing the shoes and Hoses,  I think I have a wheel cylinder issue. so I hope to do that this weekend.
I just finished replacing front Disc Pads, hoses, and the driver side Caliper.
I need to address a leak where the hose from the water tank going into the pump, O-ring maybe?
need a cap for the water supply door too.

Would like to add solar later once I understand how much I need, and how to install.

Thats about the only issues I've come across.  Furnace, Hot Water, Generator, 'Fridge, and AC all work great.

The coach had 33k miles when I got it, and now 35600 on it.  Motor is great.

Wow , that thing looks in great shape !

The RV systems are all pretty generic from brand to brand.

Your water leak probably doesn't have an o ring there so more likely the connector loose or need replacing or the tubing might have split from freezing maybe?? Hard to diagnose from this far away , my eyesight not as good as it used to be !!

The RV chassis is more of a mfg specific thing but you seem to have a handle on that end.

Ask all the questions you like .
We'll help till it hurts and get 'er done for ya.
Incredible amounts of experience shared freely here in the tribe.
You have hit the jackpot in that respect...........
