The eagle creek pack it cubes (thanks triumph!!!) allowed me to go from cinder blocks and big rubbermaid totes to a much more minimalist design. &nbsp;For the first time I can sit up in my bed - speaking of which, it was time to ditch that mattress after 5 or 6 years. &nbsp;This was a $42 conversion - $19 for the foam pad, $13 for the plywood, $10 for the rubber mat I used to make the bed all rubbery/waterproof, like cheap upholstery. &nbsp;Duct tape holding it all together (I got upholstery nails but they were platicy and just kept breaking. &nbsp;So, duct tape.). Thanks Bob. &nbsp;It was one of those spur of the moment Lowes parking lot renovations and I wasn't about to stand in the long return line to get another kind of nail. &nbsp;And now I'm about to be off home (on the other side of the river from roads and vans) for a couple weeks and then who knows where I'll be and what I'll be in...
