Yep...thanks for the update, and just to restate something from earlier in the thread...

If you DO find yourself looking at, and seriously focused on, an expensive, late model unit, that might be the time to run a carfax and have someone do an inspection.

Just a couple of 'tools' in the toolbox.

My sister is CDL.
Her Cummins 600hp ISX lost cylinder six in her new Western Star.
The first time, warranty bought a replacement engine.
The second time, she paid us$33,000 for a replacement engine... plus the rig was down for two months.
.
The first time, her two payments of us$9,500 monthly were covered by her self-employed insurance... and then, her self-employed insurance was cancelled at the beginning of the third month.
The second time, she made her payments 'out of petty cash'.
.
During the second shop time, the license and registration came due... plus the rig insurance and authority.
That was another us$11,000.
.
She just needs more hours in the day.
