Hi
My name is Cedric. I am a disabled/retired medical software engineer.
I had several heart attacks that left me with debilitating angina. I am 58 yrs old and recently divorced after 30 yr married to the same wonderful girl.

I can not afford my house and really am sick of trying to keep the place going. I live in Ma and there is a lot of snow and a lot of grass. It always seems to cover my property :) ! Since I can't shovel or mow, it gets annoying trying to keep up paying people to do it.

I bought a small toyota 4cyl RV with the last of my savings. I want to be a vandweller (in a rv) haha. I know it kills the stealth but I can't see myself trying to live in a van. Maybe baby steps. My disability check is probably not enough to stay in RV parks so I will be looking for boondocking most of the time. I really like to shower so I am thinking that truck stops might work for that. I can't imagine using a water bottle sprayer like Bob has mentioned. That is real dedication there. I bought his new ebook off of Amazon. Everyone should get a copy to show support for Bob and his great work with the blog and forum. Don't forget to leave a decent 5 star review if you liked it. This will help the books ranking and hopefully some extra sales to pay his bills

I have been getting some help from some users on this forum and I really do appreciate the help.

thanks
cedric

Welcome Cedric! Getting out of the snow is one of the greatest things about this life. There are really inexpensive campgrounds even in places like Florida. You just have to do a little searching. Also Corp of Engineer parks in the southern states are only about $10.00 a night with an Access pass. You can stay for fourteen days at a time. The parks are beautiful and you get electric hookups , a convenient dump station and restrooms with showers.

Hi Cedric. Good to have you here!

I have a plant sprayer and almost never use it... I have a gym membership which is what is used most of the time. Baby wipes will work in a pinch. Still, a plant sprayer warmed in a microwave might help in a pinch.

In some ways you might be better off in an RV. If it is in pretty good condition, police might look upon you more favorably - some of them stereotype. Also, it seems many people sleep in Rvs right in front of others and don't get awakened. It might work out just fine.

Anyway, a warm welcome from the midwest!

Brad aka V.T.

hi Cedric , welcome. Most truckstops charge $10-15 for a shower, or free with a 300 gallon fill up of diesel ( aprox $ 1200), so i dont think thats a viable option 3-4 times a week for someone on a small fixed income. Thee are many ways to clean up- solar shower, homemade showers, sprayers ( the 2-3 gallon sprayers, metal ones are best , you can heat the water directly in them) , baby wipes, sponge baths, etc. Short hair ( or none) is easier to keep up with, and movi.g with the seasons will help keep you cooler. Keep reading the posts and forums for even more ideas.
