I started van life this summer when my wife divorced me after 35years. I'm still kind of looking for my purpose in life now. Any thoughts

Welcome traveling tinkerer. I can identify with you. 3 years ago this week my wife of 40 years walked out. I have finally determined to Try to enjoy my life a little. I’ve been living in my van while building it since spring and looking forward to spending the winter in Florida and smileing for once. I think our purpose in life should be going on with life and enjoying it as much as possible. In the end what else can you do?

How about helping other vandwellers with van build needs? Or working with HOWA to build vans? Just some kind of occasional volunteer work. There were a lot of volunteers with the Red Cross helping us after the fire. They work for two weeks then go home.

I have volunteered for however I can be of assistance to the HOWA. I have alot of experience with vehicles and I lived off grid for many years. I was also a master carpenter. Hopefully my skills will help someone else.

Life's purpose.... Now that there is a what ya call a deep question. I started and stopped looking for it around age 24 after military discharge. It happened all at once.

I remember making the decision to just let life happen and see where it took me. I approach every day with my eyes wide open, a smile and a kind word. If anything, it's the expression on your face that gives me my purpose and so far its not cost me a nickel.

I guess it's like love, your purpose will find you.

just my ol 2¢

Yeah. Life will find you don’t worry. In the meantime I too suggest volunteering. It takes your mind off you troubles and helps the world. You have some outstanding skills.
