"Your request for stay at the acute care facility following your hip surgery has been denied"

"Why?"

"Because we feel that you don't need it"

"Who says?"

"Our doctor on staff"

"Does the doctor know what it's like to just have hip surgery and have to get in and out of a van? That the dangers of me suffering a blood clot and unable to get help means? That I may also damage my recovery from the chance that dislocation of my hip prosthesis may occur?"

"We have changed our minds, we will reimburse  you for the 3 week stay"

Finally...... Three mail exchanges, taking nearly 3 months....  Check for $1,185 to follow....

(Other news, the charges on my A/E have been fully reversed from the motel stay, they charged me $890 and it should have been $790. I'll go back and pay them cash in about 2-3 months the amount of $790 but tell them I do so ONLY taking so long as they kept jerking me around for so long and ignoring me...Fair is fair)

Jeez!!! !

Freaking insurance!!! And the doctors that don't have the balls to do what is right!

Have you had the surgery? Hope you're doing ok!

OH yeah, the surgery went well, but had they let me go to the acute care, I might have spent 1 week instead of three in the motel....Lucky I had the ability to pay it.

Surprise, surprise...I got the check without giving them the receipts.....$1,285 in bank...Woohoo...
