Need suggestions boondocking upstate New York

I’m heading east next month to upstate New York, Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire and am looking for any boondocking recommendations. I’ll be spending a few days in a spot then moving on down the road. I’d love to camp at the original Woodstock site but they charge $15 a night. I’ll  be living in my minivan so I’ll be low profile.

I spent weeks in Albany, Saratoga, Rochester, and Plattsburg just moving between Walmarts and Cracker Barrels. Had no problems.

Lots of cool things to see up there.
