This last week I worked at an entrance booth on traffic an island at the top of a launch ramp, saw lots of boats go by and even got some fresh fish filets given to me. I can relate! LOL!!! Thanks for the laugh!

There are islands in some Midwest rivers that are inhabited. I read of one that was cleared of transients by TPTB . For their own safety
of course.

I have a friend that just retired but was a comercial pilot flying to Japan where they respect land rights. He said at one major airport a farmer didn't want to move so this tiny pc of ground he liced on & gardened was between the runway & taxiway.
