Hello fellow No-mads,
RE:
"My Dakota Address"
debacle..
No-mad, just hurt/confused!
Jumped through all the bureaucratic hoops last year in SD to gain domicle,
driver's license, vehicle registration, etc.
(Circa September 2017)
Net result: Have SD
(Real ID) driver's license with PMB as legitimate
address.
HOWEVER, with Mail forwarder (Terri) no longer operating.. I must inform DMV and email them my "new" address (no need to visit DMV in SD, per their web site..but merely email the new address to them)
So far So good; But being in Arizona presently..what's my "new" address ? (Asking rhetorically).
Escapees RV claims a presence in "Great Places/Great Faces" SD;
So lets assume that from visiting their website, they can furnish me a "domicile" address which in turn I can email to SD DMV and "Get on with my life?"
OR..
How would I fare by maintaining my DL, and moseying along. (All significant correspondents I have are reachable online and all is well for now). What happens "down the road" though..One entity decides not to play nice, and a world of hurt ensues??
Do not need mail forwarding, per se, except rarely.
Doesn't seem cost effective to pay someone $100.00 +
dollars a year to furnish a domicile. (Then there's the affidavit angle) Seems one could furnish this independently of a "mail forwarder".
This service May not be necessary?
Paying some $500.00 for a DL that needs to be renewed in 5 years seems a bit absurd!
What say you?
Pay to play??
