I usually don't drive the ambo daily, but now it is just plain fun to drive! My poor Jeep misses me...

Funny because Jeeps have a reputation of low economy / poor daily drivers.

Take a converted ambulance in favor! Ha.

Leveled the ambo today, not because of too much stuff on one side. There was a 1/2" spacer in the passenger side and not on the drivers. Never really noticed, but it always looked like it sad low on the drivers side rear corner. After getting a 8"x3"X1/2" steel plate, and disassemble the rear leaf spring on that side. Welded spacer on axle perch, put everything back together and now it is level!

A good friend of mine welded the plate to avoid too much boredom...

Moved the intake around a bit today to help cool the incoming air.

Good progress as always. Are you sure you won't get bored when you finish? :D

Working on my other antenna/rear view camera mount. Hopefully the weather will play nice so I can get it installed tomorrow.

You deserve a break. Hang out in your newly leveled rig and relax.

What is funny is that it feels different to stand in or drive, funny how a 1/2" can make so much of a difference.

That mount will soon hold a 10m antenna for my HF rig, the antenna on the right is for longer range.

Baloo:

Were those antenna mounts on your vehicle when you got it, or did you fabricate them.

Perfect for Amateur Radio applications; I'm green with envy!

Enjoy your ongoing "Ambo" story; keep it coming!

Best to you . . .
