Much ado about urine

You go guy! This forum spends major brain trust trying to crack the nut of waterless waste disposal. While the rest of the world collects waste with water, processes it with water, and dumps into the nearest body of water polluting it.

As dwellers, we do not have the luxury of composting on land we own, so solutions need to be space efficient, energy efficient, and portable. And probably solar powered. Looking to hear more on this.

May not actually be feasible, but such a device, IMO, would be terrific for any vehicle based mobile lifestyle.

Lol!! solved years ago just nobody liked the idea, early Barth motorhomes injected it into the exhaust just after the manifolds and burned it going down the road, yet another reason they only had one tank for all waste water.

The space station recycles urine to drink,

It cost some $20K to lift a gallon of water to the orbit. So it makes sense to filter the urine to reuse it as a drinking water. On the planet surface, less so.
