A lot of people don't realize that home ovens that run on gas also puts out carbon monoxide . . .

Burning anything will produce carbon monoxide IF there is not enough free oxygen available for complete combustion.  If enough oxygen is available no CO is produced.  A house has a significantly larger volume of air than a van and (usually) a more porous outside surface for air exchange.

A carbon monoxide detector is always prudent if you have any kind of flame inside.

Homes usually are not as tightly sealed, nor as small in cubic area as our vans.

If people regularly fell asleep in their tiny tightly sealed up kitchen with the gas stove going as their heat source, building regs would be very different.

The average home built in the last 20 years are actually very well sealed. You can  hear the air pressure being released when the front door is opened when everything is shut tight to retain the heat or a/c. Now factor in the confined spacing of a small kitchen of a newly built townhouse. Still bigger than a van, but the danger is still there.

And I just showed you a video of that lady's bird dropping dead all of a sudden.

And personally I often use the vent directly above my stove when cooking.

And yeah, the point though is that not everyone does this and all the time b/c they don't think that's there's any CO danger, which is what the video proved.

All good points, I actually thought you were going the other way on that.

Our 220 y.o. farmhouse has the opposite problem
