I have put off signing up for years. In not many years, three, I'll be on my own. That means the last kid will be outta the house. I've gotten serious about building a mobile home. Maybe a poor choice of words. There are so many options I have been looking at that I am suffering from paralysis by analysis.  I could sell off everything and build a sweet motor coach or just sell off my un-needed unused stuff and build a nice van or box truck. I like the idea of a box truck for stealth camping in the cities, but I don't plan to visit cities unless I have to. I prefer small rural towns similar to the one I live in or even smaller. Currently, I am considering a short bus or van based bus. I want to be fully self-contained. I know I know, it can be a big pain to deal with tanks and dumping them. I'll have an outside shower for the warmer weather. Possibly even a tent type shower house.

I have friends abroad and have considered building a a rig that can be packed into a shipping container. I don't think I'll be able to afford the cost of shipping though.

Welcome here. I just got here yesterday. Full time rv'er of 11 yrs ..looking to downsize and simplify to van or "Schoolie" (Short school bus, Shuttle bus).
