Been looking thru adds on E-bay and craigslist.

Found an interesting add on E-bay for a Mercedes sprinter 2008 model , now while looking thru the pictures, noticed a dodge emblem on the steering wheel, and a fender badge with 2500 on it.  the engine listed in the add claims a Mercedes 3.0 L diesel (with 400,000 miles). Where Dodge and Mercedes together on this or what.
Next the 400,000 miles sounds really High even for a Diesel, It is a cargo/work van, used for medical Oxygen delivery. (comes with the large tank)

Any comments, are welcome

The current price is 5k

Check Google and you will see there was/is a Dodge sprinter, but at 400K you better have lots of $$$$$ in the bank for repairs. The engine may run like a top but there's the front end, transmission, rear end, u joints, and on and on with also 400k on them too.

Exactly what I was thinking, plus I'm not used to seeing them that cheap. The Dodge 2500, I learned was built by Mercedes.

On with the search.. seen some good prices on shuttle type vans, but the bus door, just won't do it for me.

The vehicle was made by Mercedes Benz. They owned Chrysler for a while so the Sprinter was just a rebadged version. I think Freight-liner also was selling a version of it. The earlier models seemed to be fairly reliable, but when pollution controls were mandated these often failed and were expensive to repair. Finding shops that would work on them was also problematic.
My advice would be steer clear of it. Google Sprinter problems.

See if you can find a Ford Transit....man I am loving ours.   The 3.5L ecoboost is consistently giving me 17 to 19mpg on a mid roof model.
