In addition to trying to find a travel trailer I am also looking for a utility or cargo trailer as well.  I'm going to buy whatever I can find the nearest to me first.  I've been perusing craigslist as well as signed up on a bunch of facebook for sale groups around Blythe, Parker and Quartzsite.

If y'all run into something please let me know.  I've got about $300 I can spend ATM.  Yes, I know it isn't much but my money tree died a long time ago.  Please keep the conversation relevant to this topic.  Thanks.

Russ has youtube channels at RVerTV and QuartziteTV as well as a Facebook page, and lives & works in the surrounding areas in his Class A & Cargo Trailer. Could be worth the effort to message him somehow.

Thanks for that.  I'll look at it tonight.

Found a utility trailer to look at tomorrow.  It doesn't come with any paperwork but he's going to do up a bill of sale for me.

My question is what does Arizona require for homemade trailers to be licensed?  This one is a single axle, less than 10k, non- commercial. It doesn't have brakes but it does have tail lights and safety chains. Most importantly; it has full size tires so I can go highway speeds.

How did things go with the trailer you were planning to look at? The best place for info is your local motor vehicle licensing department. In my state, trailers under a certain size and weight do not have to be reg'd and tagged unless it's for business use. If you're needing basic insurance, registration, and tag to pull it, then it doesn't usually matter what's on it or in it. It will still be a cargo or utility trailer. If it does matter, buy an open utility trailer and build a slide in body similar to a truck slide in camper. This way the trailer is simply being used to carry a load and not built into a travel trailer.
