I think I remember reading that 2 hours on a stationary bike with an attached generator/altenator will produce enough electricity to watch tv for 1 hour.<div><br></div><div>Me, I'd want an easier way. &nbsp; My hairbrained idea is probably not feasabile, but----</div><div><br></div><div>I would get a long treadmill, elevate one end 4 or 5 feet, attach a generator/alternator to the treadmill, then build a ramp beside it that leads up to the elevated end of the treadmill. &nbsp;Electricity would be produced when the treadmill is going.</div><div><br></div><div>2 or 3 people would take turns riding the treadmill down. &nbsp; After one person reaches the bottom, he or she would walk back up the ramp and wait in line until it was time to ride down again. &nbsp; One person on the treadmill at a time.</div><div><br></div><div>Riding a bike non-stop makes me tired, but I think I could handle walking up a ramp, resting during the ride down and while in line on the ramp. &nbsp; And, it would be fun for the whole family!!!!</div><div><br></div><div>Or not. &nbsp; While I think it would work, I'm not so sure it would work well or produce enough electricity to be worth it. &nbsp;Just sounds more fun than peddling my butt of on my way to nowhere. &nbsp;<img src="/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle"></div>
