Thank you for the warm welcomes!

My husband and I are very excited for this adventure! Attached is a pic of the inside of the gutted RV we purchased (after we emptiedout all the parts we were given). We have a big project ahead of us, but the RV is mechanically sound, so it's just putting everything back together and doing some creative space-saving customization so we can have the both of us & our two cats in a 22' space!

Should be interesting!

Before you tear out the insulation, look for any discolored sections that indicate a leak.

Looks like a fun project.

Welcome to the tribe...

*enjoyed your website, BTW*

Wow , you do have a big job ahead of you! Starting with a gutted RV is going to give you a chance to do some creative out-of-the-box construction on the interior design. Try to keep it balanced weight wise side to side , front to back. Use light weight materials where ever possible. Weight adds up really fast!

Please post ongoing construction pictures -have fun!
Hello all! I am doing research on rv living before I jump in and purchase my RV. If anyone has information or money saving tips, they would be greatly appreciated. Subjects like camp site reservations, costs of campsites, maintaining a rv. I am a 52 yr old single woman and I am wondering if I may be getting over my head with this adventurous life style.

Hi All, i have been dreaming about doing this for years in order to save money. I had a Roadtrek camper van bit gave it up when my daughter came to live with me 4 yrs ago. it was great being able to watch the sun come up in different places and cook a meal and enjoy the view. However between the payments and the gas it seemed i was paying the same as a luxury apt.
I think it would be hard to do with two people so in order to save money on rent i am thinking of going in the opposite direction and renting out a room in our apt to vacationers. I just hate having to kiss up to a boss every day just to pay rent and shop at the mall buying more crap to make myself feel better. oh for freedom again!

The freedom you long for is closer than you think. Good luck with the plans!
