Isolating Charger from charge controller?

I charge a bank of battery's at 100 amps on 115v hookup, does the Solar Panel charge controller need to be unhooked while I charge?   I guess solar panels work better when raised from roof,  Anyone have problems with panel's lifting off roof in high wind? Anchoring Ideas? Thanks John

The solar charge controller will just think the batteries are fully charged whether they are or aren't when you are plugged into shore power and will go into float. &nbsp;You do not need to unhook.<br><br>Wrcxeight has some really nice pictures somewhere on this forum of his tilting system. &nbsp;If he doesn't respond to this post then ask him direct on how he did it.
