Hello, my name is Jodie , my husband's name is  John, we are living in a 2004  class C, motor home. We are both disabled and retired. We are
Eager to explore the South West and make some new friends. This is our first-time as full time rvers , we left Idaho ,on January 5th and are currently braving stormy wet weather on th Southern Oregon coast. It is our intention to leave the coast on the 8th of March and head somewhere warmer. Where are you  ?

Welcome to the CRVL forums Jodie and John! There are many nomads in the southwest enjoying the warmth and sunshine. Check out the Gathering section to see where some of them are camping.

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

We're everywhere except the "Great Pacific North Wet"...

Lol, I think everyone with an RV has left Washington and Oregon and headed south to the deserts of California and Arizona.

Check out the Gatherings section of the forums, you'll find groups all over the place...

Welcome and good luck on your new adventure!

To be in the PNW, on the coast in the winter time when you could be down here by Yuma on free BLM land, well it has to be important!

There are a lot of no cost areas down this way.
All around Quartzsite is free BLM land, KofA off hwy 95 heading south is a big one (I stayed at Crystal Mountain for a few days).
Fortuna pond, I went thru there last week, there was room on the water but we decided to stay here.
Mittry Lake is having a beautiful sunset tonight and there is a lot of room here, you just need to look around.  If this works you can see the sunset https://www.instagram.com/p/BfUfnjalrLU/?taken-by=becidarob
You'll pass the VFW BLM free area on your way to Yuma, I stayed there before i learned of these other places. There are a lot of people but it's free & it's warm.
The Quechan casino down by the Mexican border & Los Algodones. Night life & you're close to Los Algodones for your dental, glasses & prescription drugs.  We went into Mexico on Thursday, saw the dentist, refilled prescriptions and had a great lunch. My wife said the margarita was great!
Just to the west of Yuma off I-8 in Holtvile Calif is the Holtvile hot springs (nice!) and a both a LTVA and a 14 day free area. I really like the hot springs and have spent some time camping in the free area. The springs are clean & civilized.
You can stay at the Imperial Sand dunes in Calif too, you'll see them on the way to Holtvile.
freecampsites.net is your friend!

There are other free areas, I've just mentioned the ones I'm familiar with.

Welcome to the forum. Wealth of knowledge to be gained from these folks. Head south to the sweet dryness of the desert :)

It is snowing here in Sixes Oregon today, very cold, helping sick daughter. We need a heater, Bob recommended an Olympic  or was it an Olympus ? Can't find his video on this. We can purchase one just unsure which kind.
Thanks for making us feel welcome.
