I liked the article that saying there’s always a bikini-clad girl cooking. Does van dwelling make a person forget to wear clothes?!

Not only that, but as much as they look like models in some of the videos I have seen, the vans look immaculate! Like they're new off the lot! Like, well, almost like they've never been lived in!

;)

I've seen the videos you're talking about and I have accused them of being fake I believe they're just doing this to see how much money they can make.

Exactly, and people fall for it. Those accounts have more followers than the genuine VanDwellers.

Lots of you tube frauds. Some say send money so (a deserving person), can stop living in a car and move into a bus. Then a large portion of that money goes into his own pocket, (I was on the build team). About the only time he worked on anything is when he could film it for 5 minutes then he would go back inside his own van.
Another guy suckers kind hearted people into sending him money because he has an emergency, (like once a month).
You can go here and put in their Youtube name and see what Youtube pays them. https://socialblade.com/
This does not include Amazon kickbacks or patrion or paypal donations. You would be amazed what these people get.

Who are you talking about Danny I'm talking about the young couple in the nice clean Volkswagen bus that doesn't even look lived-in she runs around half naked wearing a bikini.

The point some have made about the vans having nothing in them seems pretty telling to me.

I've seen a similar point about photos/vids that show someone looking out of the opened back doors of their van onto a beach scene or a beautiful sunset. They might have a big bed there and everything looking so comfy and clean ... but where's their stuff?

That's one of many "fake" VanDwellers. Another couple that is very suspicious and has been roasted by Dave is "Minimal Millenials", although it seems they supposedly recently did a new van build. Not sure what that's about since I don't follow them. It seems clear these "Minimal Millenials" have plenty of money, but still want yours.

I like to make fun of these people too but let's also remember that we aren't the target audience at all.

That may be so, but these videos constantly come up in the related videos when watching Bob's or others videos.

I made a post about the guy who pocketed the money that was intended for someone else and Bob Wells got very upset and said his forum was not going to be used for character assassinations regardless if it was true. So this is Bob's sandbox and he makes the rules.

I'm not into character assassinations. At the same time I hope most people realize that some of those channels mentioned are not realistic VanDwelling scenarios.

My point is there is a lot of fraud on Youtube. It is a fairly new medium and laws have not kept up to protect people from it.
Some might say they live in a vehicle and don't. Some may say they are helping others when their goal is to help themselves, some say they have emergencies that they really don't. The audience takes all this hook line and sinker. Good hearted people send their money to people who can't be bothered to go get a job and not ask for support.

I used to work in an office full of women as of about 14 days a go (unrelated to this story, i swear).  Some of them I was friendly enough with that we shared our out of work life events with each other.  Having worked there for 4 years, you build relationships with people.  Not a single one thought buying a van and seeing the country was a good idea and none of them expressed an interest to be scantily clad on camera in the van to cook for me while we did it.  Though maybe this is my fault for not directly asking?

One of them did take enough of an interest in the idea to ask me about the van as opposed to just where to go and what to look at.  She's short, cute, small scar over her left eye that added character, and about 14 years younger than me.  She asked, "you mean one of those windowless vans the creepers drive?"

Apparently I'm not handsome, funny, or rich.  Who knew??   :D

Minimal millenials vid from a year ago.

There is roadside mechanics, bad weather, bad food, bad hair, and casual attire, along with some hiking, swimming, and monkeys, hiked back in the dark. Looked pretty real to me, though IDK how often they travel or if they flew their van in on a jet. I am guessing they drove there like all dwellers.

And here is more build repairs on the road. Hard to fake that. But why does this gal wear so few clothes? I do not have the answer to that, though she did mention the heat at 9am. -c

Oh look they did ship their van from Panama to Columbia and here is a vid on how they did it.
