It was a hit and run and yes I had full coverage. No it didn't cover a rental. The money I do have I'm using to shelter myself. I can't get a plane ticket without photo ID.

When I lost my driver's license, the Department of MOTOR vehicles in the state of CA sent a verified copy to the car rental company in Utah to show that I was licensed and  I was able to rent a car .  

Also, a couple of years, ago I left my wallet in the cab that I took to LAX. I was late for plane and desperate to get home.... Security (TSA) asked me a bunch of questions, I did have a business card in my bag and my printed out boarding pass. 

They did an additional screening (wand and hand swipes) and let me through.
