I don't know anything about electricity

I read somewhere about a battery which is connected to the motor so it charges when the van is running.... I think.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>I'm having trouble figuring out the electrical stuff, can someone point me in the direction of the cheapest way to get electricity in my van, because I don't know anything about electricity.</div><div><br></div><div>I'll be doing solar later, once I can afford it. What's something I can do, using a step by step guide?</div>

I have a laptop, but I've ruined my laptop batt before by charging it with a battery/solar system, so I would use it rarely. I want a microwave, a fridge eventually, and a light. &nbsp;Also, a small electric oven.

<br><br>Well..........this is a very broad topic and not easy to tell you what to do with short answers. Running a laptop or some led lighting or a small fan is not a big deal but far different when you start talking about microwave ovens or toaster ovens. I assume you meant a toaster oven. I dont have time right now to explain more but I agree with Stude in that you will need to educate yourself about this stuff to&nbsp; understand the basics.The laws of physics limit what can be accomplished. There is no mystery to it, it can all be calculated. So read the links and we will go from there. Dont be frustrated. Dear Attica, this is very simple and the way I have come to understand electricity. The switch goes up, the light goes on. The switch goes down, the light goes off. The little plug needs to go in the little wall thingy for the vacuum, tv etc. to work. read, &nbsp;study, &nbsp;research.&nbsp; ask for info to fine tune or specific questions like what type of solar controller?,&nbsp; how to dual batteries?,&nbsp; what size cable?&nbsp;&nbsp; as far as getting power into your van simply run a wire from your battery with correct fuse. &nbsp; highdesertranger
