Hi all,
I joined the forum a while back but have been off traveling (via planes) but I am back in Indiana and I HAVE JUST BOUGHT MY VAN!! I am so excited!! It is a 95 Ford StarCraft. Now the work and fun begins. My son-in-law has already removed the 2 middle passenger seats. I still can't decide if I want to take out the motorized bench seat in back to put in a smaller bed. The bench seat folds out in 3 sections which is takes up quite a bit of space and I don't really need that big of bed.

At any rate I am looking forward to sharing my conversion experiences and then hitting the road and hopefully meeting you all out there!

Kadi

Welcome!

And good for you, you'll have fun setting it up to your liking.

Hope to see you out there.

Sounds like your on your way. My van has a fold-able bench seat that's manually operated and could also be turned sideways to run parallel with the side of the van if someone wanted to change it for different living arraignments. The good parts of this seat are no electrical things to break down and easier to change the layout. Should be cheap to get from a junk-yard.

Excellent! I look forward to seeing and hearing about the work done on the van. It's funny that every time I see a van with passenger seats I wonder why they installed them in the first place, but then I remember that the vans were meant to haul people around. Right, they didn't exactly plan for beds.

I prefer a bed in the back of a van, more practical.

Good luck with the van!
