I have an 1995 Airstream 190 B Van with 163,000 miles on it built on the Ford E 350 with the 460 engine and e40d transmission. Got about 12 miles per gallon on regular gas. Vehicle was heavy about 9400# not including contents and water in the tank.

1992 GMC G35 1-ton ... 207,257 miles Chevy 7.4 L 454 V-8 11-13 mpg. It's so sad :-(

2002 Ford E450 diesel based 26 ft transit bus. 250k on it. I get about 9 to 11 mpg depending on headwinds and hills.

1986 ford jamboree. piece of junk, 11 mpg on a good day
1989 vanagon. rebuilt everything. wasn't that bad on gas, but it broke down a lot. I was so happy to get rid of this van. Never again.
1987 toyota new horizons. Advertised as 15 mpg but it was more like 13 mpg. it really depended on which direction the wind was blowing. it was a sailboat. very underpowered.
now: 2010 toyota sienna. super tiny but 27 mpg highway (when driving 55 mph) and 18 mpg city. I did remove the roof rack and empty it out like crazy. great vehicle. super dependable.

next vehicle will be huge and very inefficient. not sure what I will get yet.

05 express AWD. 200k 16 mpg town & country. Little better on the interstate.
