I'm wondering what happened to Friends of Bob regarding a Slab City group.

I haven't seen anything posted since 2017 when they mentioned meeting up there, and it appears they don't have an Internet presence. I hope they made it out.

Anyone know?

A bunch of people went after the 2018 RTR and it was fine. Other groups have been formed since then.

Many groups and plans for gatherings have been impacted by Covid 19 social distancing concerns. Groups are out there but are often keeping it to a small circle they have clicked with to reduce risk. there are a lot of older at risk seniors living the van life so that is a sensible approach at this time. Once there is a vaccine behaviors will resume to be more like they were in previous years.

I recently tried to join a facebook group that frequently camps together. They very politely said no, and later I noticed the group was taken down.

Just because you can't see them, doesn't mean they don't still exist.

Usually folks go down after the RTR. You should be able to find folks, normal considerations apply.
