Greetings dwellers, I’m very Van-curious and am still mulling over the plans and logistics of joining your community.
Still figuring out the safety issue as a solo female traveler, which is what I would be. I’m so grateful to have found Bob and binge watch all of his videos as well as those of lots of other folks!
I have zero building skills so part of the journey entails finding someone to do the build for me but am afraid of the going rates for a lot of builders. Any suggestions and both good and bad experiences with van builders would be so appreciated
I would be working from the road, but not as a YouTube/Blogger. I work in tech support from home, so I’d like the van to be simple but as much solar as I can possibly cram in because solar is just sexy, and must have insanely reliable internet to do my 9-5 stuff. I’d like my van to be as pleasant and comfortable as I can make it without breaking the bank.
I won’t be ready to really move fwd for another 3-4 months but will keep lurking and hope to meet folks who can live peacefully with camaraderie, respect and still have a good time.
I think I’ll be the type who wants to be alone while in the nearby company of others but still socialize around a campfire and a guitar.
