We just rolled into Pahrump from Ohio. Could you please tell us where to camp? Thanks so very much!

Welcome Bill and Sheila to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

We found some BLM land outside of Pahrump. We'll be heading to Quartzsite in a couple of days. We look forward to meeting as many of you as we can. Thank you! ?

Welcome to the CRVL Forums   :)

You may find the bottom link (in the two links below)  helpful in finding your way around when on the road.

Welcome to Nye County. Third largest county in the 48 states.
Pahrump (2.6K ft) is the southern end, Tonopah (6K ft) is up in the northern end and is a gateway to Humboldt Toiyabe NF.

In Pahrump at NV-160 & East Basin, head east on East Basin towards less civilization.
Pass by the County Sheriff/Courthouse and then the DMV on your left.
Keep going up to the road just past the power lines.
To the left the road is called Justin Lane for a short distance.
A little ways on it becomes N Higley Rd.

Turn left (north) and camp on any wide spot on the right.
One spot that I used in the Spring comes up as on G**gle as
440 N Higley Rd, Pahrump, NV 89060
Useful if your GPS doesn't allow input of GPS coordinates (cheapo Magellan).
Turn to the right (south) on Higley Rd and there are more spots.
One place on that side, that I scoped out only, is located at 36.212837, -115.958949.

Good luck. Enjoy your stay.
