<br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>Had to go to town yesterday, so I decided to pick up one of those bulb-type ear wax syringe things which would make it super easy to get gas down the vent tube of the carb on the ol' RV.</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>Then this morning, I took a break from my busy schedule here, &amp; went out there to try it again. After shooting gas down that tube till it was literally running out of the carburetor.... NOTHING. Still the same. No change whatsoever.</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>Went back to the routine of pouring gas down the carb, starting it, watching it run 2 or 3 seconds &amp; die. After about a dozen more times of this, I gave up before running the battery down yet again. It's obvious it's just not gonna start &amp; run, no matter what.&nbsp;</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>My only hope is if I can sell enough stuff to scrape up a couple hundred MORE bucks to offer my worthless brother, in hopes of getting him over here to fix it. Pretty pathetic when it takes LARGE AMOUNTS OF CASH to get your OWN RELATIVE to do something for U, even when you're in desperate need.</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>This is absolutely, totally, unbelievable.&nbsp;<img src="/images/boards/smilies/frown.gif" alt="" align="absmiddle" border="0" /></strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>Well, my break's over.... back to work...</strong></span><br /><br /><br />

It is sad when family won't help you. Especially if they have a "what's in it for me" attititude.&nbsp; I can so understand how disappointing that is! Keeping you in my prayers! Not real BAD, but not real good, either....</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>Haven't had any more help since 10 days ago, so I've been bustin' my hump for the past 10 days, tryin' to do it all myself. The house contents are finally starting to thin out, but there's STILL a lot left, &amp; several large, heavy things that I simply CAN NOT move by myself. </strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>Plus, the heat &amp; humidity have been absolutely RELENTLESS! We've had so much rain during the last month, in conjunction with temps still hitting low to mid 90s, it's more humid than anything I've ever experienced in my entire life! All kinds of things are mildewing, indoors AND out, mushrooms &amp; various forms of mold &amp; fungus I've never seen before are growing all over the yard, gnats are so bad as to be approaching biblical, Egyptian-plague levels, man, it's like a tropical rain forest!!!</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>The ol' RV hasn't been touched in a week or more, it's STILL not running, not to mention the fact that it needs a whole lot of OTHER work to make it livable, but I can't spare the time, due to having to work every minute I can physically handle on getting the house emptied on time.</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>Geezo-pete, is this nightmare ever gonna end?&nbsp;<img src="/images/boards/smilies/confused.gif" alt="" align="absmiddle" border="0" /><br /><br /></strong></span>

SirJoey <strong>it does pass</strong>.&nbsp; I had 12 years of crap to clean out of my house, little to no help and at the time no car,&nbsp; fortunately I was in town. That was my only saving grace. The house has been gone for two years now and I don't miss it or the stress of it at all.....but when I was going through that I thought I would explode and be done with it.<br /><br />So I can tell you from experience. <strong>IT DOES PASS</strong>

SirJoey, <br /><br />It is so hard when we are left to do these things alone. I can relate, altho my challenges have not included plagues of locust gnats among other things. Ice is right, this too shall pass. All you can do is deal w/the problems of today as best you can and know tomorrow will work itself out.. these things all sound so trite when we are going thru days like these... but stay strong in your faith. Keeping you in my prayers! Be gentle with yourself and try to do something indulgent if you can...ice cream? an ice cold root beer? a bubble bath&nbsp; oh wait that's my list de'indulgence!&nbsp; <img src="/images/boards/smilies/wink.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle">&nbsp; Just try and do something that makes you feel good too!

After OVER 3 WEEKS since they actually RECEIVED the payoff check (by their own admission), the mortgage co FINALLY quit draggin' their feet &amp; sent me my release! YAY!!!! It's finally OFFICIAL! It's a DONE DEAL! I'm no longer responsible for the stupid mortgage &amp; now at last I can finally get a bank loan for a decent vehicle to drive.</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>Of course, I'm still gonna be stuck here, &amp; still gonna be living in this piece of junk motorhome, but at least transportation isn't gonna be one of my problems.</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>Been offline for several days now, due to my router frying. They had to ship me a new one, which I just got today &amp; got back online.</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>Still no help with anything around here. Nobody's been back since 2 weeks ago today. Still bustin' my hump, tryin' to meet the deadline, which is now only 10 days away, &amp; 2 of those days are Sabbaths, which means no work, so I actually only have 8 more days to complete the monumental task at hand.&nbsp;</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>The house contents continue to get thinner by the day, but if I don't get any help during this next 10 days, I'm not gonna make it. Also, I can see now that I was right all along about not fitting the remains of all this stuff in my little barn. Even though a woman showed up a few days ago &amp; bought all that yard sale stuff for one LOW, LOW price, it barely made a dent in what remains in the house. Looks like I'm gonna be offering the rest of it to the house takers if they want it, or maybe one of the charities in town would be willing to come out &amp; get it all. They were happy, &amp; only needed my signature on it. They "toured" the place again, &amp; seemed happy with my progress, even though I still have about 2 rooms full of stuff to move, which would be impossible if I had to finish it by myself, but the preacher has volunteered to help me again either tomorrow or Tuesday, so I'm optimistic that we can at least get the last few large items crammed into my little barn, &amp; after that, with any luck, I should be able to wrap up the rest by myself. Anything that won't fit, truly WILL get pitched out the door if the "takers" don't want it.&nbsp;</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>While they were here, I made 'em a KILLER deal on a couple of chairs. One was a near-mint, leather swivel recliner, the other a near-mint, swivel rocker with matching ottoman. Let 'em have all 3 pieces for a BEN! They snapped 'em up &amp; took 'em when they left. Hated to GIVE 'em away like that, but it had to be done. At least it's a couple more large items out the door, &amp; a Ben in my pocket. Beats pitchin' 'em out in the yard on the final day.</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>Tore down my waterbed Wednesday, so I'm already sleeping in the RV since Wednesday night. Starting to move food, dishes, bathroom items, clothes, etc into it, too. It's starting to get REAL, now.&nbsp;Not looking forward to life in the junk RV, but I can't WAIT to finally be done with this nightmare of moving outta the house!</strong></span><br /><br /><br />

SJ, I sure do understand the feelings of being overwhelmed. I'm still there too, in my own ways. I did get rid of most of the big stuff, except the couch and chair which are going to the curb. Not worth nothing to try and sell.. I still have all the left over odds and ends from the sale set up in the garage and Lord willing i will open the door one more time next saturday. It is crazy all the crap I've gotten rid of and yet still seems I have sooo much. Am still tossing stuff out to the garage. The remnants of the last 20 plus years. I have 3 children and not one has offered to help me. I still watch my granddaughter for my daughter for free while she works, and not once has she come here and offered assistance. I guess I'm expecting too much. Since they are a product of me, it doesn't bode well for my mothering I spose. Altho, they are good people for the most part. Just selfish. My body hurts pretty badly, my neck and shoulders hurt so bad that it is hard to keep going... I don't even know how... oh I just don't know. I've had a million break downs since... but.... I do Know that the sun shineth today, and I have food to eat and a bed for today. I did accomplish what I could and I have some good tunes on the ol boom box. My dog and cat still love me, altho I know I will be saying good bye soon... For today I have them. I am grateful. Let's keep going and show 'em what we're made of. Tuff birds, damn it!
