old is fine

dodge is fine

$8k for a 3-4k rig is not fine

Those are canadian dollars, tho, yes? I absolutely love it!! I can't convert KM into miles, so not sure about that, but I sure wish that were near me within my price range! LOL

Thank you AbuelaLoca ! ( I am abuela loca as well)
Yes, it would be around $6000 us dollars and 40000 miles.
Maybe I will look at it. :)

Please do heed the warnings from the experienced on the forums and make sure you take a mechanic with you or are able to take it to a mechanic... For that price you don't want to have to do a lot after you buy it!!

Not sure what the going price is for in that area but it sounds a little high to me even in Canada.

The biggest thing to beware of is that all the rubber (gaskets/door seals/belts/hoses etc) are likely to be end stage if they haven't been replaced quite recently. 63,000 KM (36,000 miles) and being 33 years old means that it sat still for more years than it was ran. Garage kept only means that the paint might not be faded and peeling and the frame isn't rusted, not that it's in great shape all over!

All of the age and price considerations aside...

1) it doesn't have propane which means no stove, water heater, refrigerator on gas, or furnace
2) it doesn't have a generator which means no a/c off-grid
3) and no toilet or black or gray water tanks.

If you want this as a party van or to use for comfortable driving it'd be ok. If you're planning to stay in it for any extended period of time, you're going to have some serious deficiencies in systems to overcome.

Supper clean??

I like it, just not at that price. Mileage is good, I seen 2015's with double that mileage. The 360 was a great engine. It be fine if you are going to do campgrounds with shore power. Almost worthless for rough camping
To be honest my advice would be to go rent a newer one on craigslist before you buy.
Try it for a week.
I bought one, hated it and was lucky to re-sell it at a profit.

I have a 1983 Dodge Van. The odometer only goes to 99,999. When I got mine it read 40,000 miles, but it was more like 140,000 miles. don't trust it as having low miles.

I would not recommend it unless you were a mechanic.

+1 on all the (negative) advice.  Plus in Powell River :s  - not like it's all that accessible... "Most visitors arrive in Powell River either via Highway 101 or by ferry from Vancouver Island."

That low km's, as other posters have said (about 38 thousand miles, if true) means everything rubber is rotted and that's spendy.
