Thanks Cyndi...

I hope the young lady who is trying to get a foot-hold in the van-dwelling community comes back...

I believe we need to encourage young people who are trying to get something going in this great adventure. Everyone has a different way of expressing their passion with this lifestyle...after all, Bob had to do some of that to get all of this started.

We wouldn't be here talking about it if it weren't for some of his 'out-of-the-box' thinking.

Again, thanks.

What is it you  need?

Happy to help with anything I can!

Edit: Just checked out your link from the other thread you just started. More than willing to help with any Cdn info you require but it will have to be by PM here or through threads here on the forum. Cdn data prices are way to high for my taste so I won't/don't use what I have to watch Vlogs...sorry!

Hi. Well I am renovating my van at the moment so my head is full of all of that stuff. But I will be looking for information on places to park, beginner areas to explore on the weekends and stuff like that. Once I remember any I will be sure to pop back and ask

Also I totally didnt think about the data issue when I started my blog, so when I have more time I will attempt to write each vlog out (roughly) and just have links to the vlogs that are on youtube. I should have known better seeing as I have been trying to look for wireless plans but they are connected to phones only and yes.. crazy prices. (my plan is to do my blogging work at cafes).

Well shucks, you think I am young and a lady, you can be my friend any day.  :p

Well I made a best guess based on flowery posts and the name and age you provided earlier...

So if I somehow missed the mark, forgive me!

TX2 and others....

You can keep your browsing data private. You first need o stop using Microsoft software. Stop using Explorer, stop using google

Switch it to Firefox with no ad with no script, and use start page. You can block all ads, and all scripts from pulling your data.

But..those social media sites will basically be blank screens if you block the data collecting scripts because they are built right into the scripts running the sites. Cannot avoid them and use the site.

Any site that requires me to turn off no-ad and no-script isn't a site I want to deal with anyway..so no loss.

I do use Firefox or Chrome, with some privacy plugins, and DuckDuckGo, instead of Google.

There are also some persistent cookies that can get in your system, and they can be tough to get rid of.

But your ISP knows EVERYWHERE you go, and the only way to get around that is to use a VPN or a secure browser like TOR.

Of course, as soon as you do THAT, you are on the radar as someone who is hiding their presence on the web and the NSA, FBI, and the CIA pay close attention to this.
