Just joined. I've been living in an RV the past 4 years. Started out in an old Dodge Explorer, then a Honda Minivan, then a travel lite truck camper which I am now in as it sits on the ground in Asheville North Carolina. This truck camper is too heavy for my 2014 Ford F-150 to carry so I don't haul it around anymore.

I plan to buy a truck cap for by truck, build a bed and hit the road again in December upcoming.

I plan to have 2 Renogy 100 watt solar panels on top of the truck cap with 2 deep cycle batteries stored somewhere in my truck bed. Can you all offer advice as to how to vent or house these batteries in the same space I will be living in please?

Thanks in advance and much thanks to Mr. Bob Wells from whom I have learned much watching his fine videos.

Stay safe y'all,

Hank

Welcome Hank to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

if you use AGM(absorbed glass mat), SLA(sealed lead acid), Gel(electrolyte is in gel form) or Lithium. you don't need to vent the batteries.
