I'm not even a newbie, currently a wannabe doing my research. I've been surfing the net reading and gathering as much information as I can get my hands on. I've spent most of my life working different jobs on the water, mainly as a boat captain and have had the fortune to work and travel to many places throughout the Bahama's and Caribbean and Central America. Yet my real expertise and passion lie in photography, which I hope to utilize to supplement my income when I do hit the road. I've taken early retirement from my last job as the Dockmaster at a High and Dry Marina to look after my aging mother. When the time comes, I want to break free and live the life of a wanderer, going wherever life leads me. I am so grateful for websites like cheaprvliving.com and forums like this and folk like y'all that are willing to share your knowledge and experiences.

Welcome from NE Alabama. This is a good place to learn. Ed

and how! so much good info for the mobile life, and many ideas can be implemented at a homebase too.
one caveat, see elder care atty and get the paperwork to protect everyones assets. if you haven't already.
some of us have been through same thing. hard to think of all this when in the midst of it. but its essential.
hugs and prayers for you, read all on the site, so much good info!

Thanks all, for the warm welcome.

Aunt Meg: Yes, all the paper work has been taken care of, about a year ago. She's still fairly active, just needs someone around in case something happens. Just today, for the first time, she sat down on the ground to tend to some of her plants. I was doing something else and when I got back to where she was working on the plants, she needed help getting back up. She had been trying for ten minutes and wasn't able to on her own. Thanks for your concern.
