Washington state has felt most unwelcoming this last month and a half, and with the rain that nearly flooded out my tent last night, we are packing up to leave for Yuma or blythe for the winter.  we'd have been gone a week ago, but had to order new glasses, which we finally picked up today. bi-focals.... going to take some real getting used to.  No idea which location we are going to land in, but we are open to either. To avoid arriving starving this time we have an entire army duffel full of ramen, just as a standby in case we run out of options. Looking forward to the sunshine again... and yes... probably another job.

Your positive attitude is great & will help you along your journey!! Too much rain is a downer, you need some fair weather & sunshine!! It makes a body feel good!

Good luck and safe travels, weather in south eastern Utah is good for the next few weeks 70's in the day and 40's at night.

Hiya! The link to your rovingblog doesn't load for me. Am really interested in how you are doing with a tent setup. Best of luck!

Rovingblog is currently not working due to lack of readers. I am working on a new one though.

We packed up in a torrential downpour since flooding was predicted for later that day on the Olympic Peninsula and left, over weight by several hundred pounds I am sure. We decided to go as mini all mountains as we could by following the river down i84 from Portland, once we finally reached there. Had an hour delay... for some reason roads for construction still reduce to one lane even when no work is going on... and camped near a site we found on freecampsites.net in Rufus, Oregon. We didn'the like the sites suggested by the site, but a guy at our second stop suggested a area closer to the dam... and its like a vacation. The bathroom even has hot water in the sink! All set up and finally drying out. Beautiful here. Leaving in a few days, but we do have to find a water to cut down on weight. A mitsubishi eclipse gt is only designed to do just so much and we have pushed it way beyond, though its preformed amazingly over the last year and some change.
