I can not find anything like this... Maybe because I am calling it the wrong thing. I my business we would call it an "Output Bay" So... What does everybody use to connect your MULTIPLE 12 volt devices to your Solar Battery? I want ONE Single Connection to my battery that offers several inputs. I don't want a bunch of individual wires coming off my battery... that's insane. :s  What's the device? Thanks!

Talk to JiminDenver. His inbox on Tapatalk is often full, so try [email protected]. He just installed a 900w solar system for me. He knows what's what.

We used a bus bar. Keeps everything nice and organized. I simply labeled each wire/fuse with a Sharpie, because there's room on the bar for labels.

I made my own. Amazon has kits for cigarette lighter and usb connections that come with inline fuse equipped wiring.

I installed all into a cheap small plastic tool box drilling mount holes for the receptacles.

A bus bar is the cheapest way to connect it all. I have additional 12v circuits so I used a blue sea fuse block as well. I also installed a master circuit breaker for everything that doubles as an on off switch for all loads.

PKYS is a good source for the more specialized stuff. I bought my blue sea and Victron controller from them.

Standard ciggie sockets are IMO a dangerous abortion, avoid like the plague for anything important, or that you use regularly, or for more than a few minutes. inherently poor design, IMO a dangerous abortion,  avoid like the plague, Never more than 5-6A and for short periods, even then they are risky.

Blue Sea has a nice socket design that twist-locks with the matching plug, but will also accept standard ciggie plugs for smaller (<10A) loads.

Also the BMW/ Hella/ Merit/ Powerlet "Euro-style DIN" (ISO 4165) style is very robust.

Anderson plugs for high amps, IMO best as a standard for everything

If you standardize on one of the last two types, there are adapters for guests, temporary use of devices with standard ciggie plugs.

Is there a 12 volt wall mount similar to 120 volt residential that isn't a ciggy plug but is a spade Edison type? Is there a fixed wall mount type of Anderson plug? I've seen wall mount USB and ciggy plug pannels but other than that is there something other than hard wireing so you can plug in without loose hanging connectors?

Thank you John61ct that is just what I was looking for!

One simple solution is to flatten a piece of copper tubing and drill several holes in it. Suggest using stainless steel screws and bolts.

Brass nuts and bolts would be better.  The metals are better matched.  Dissimilar metals can corrode.
