We had an interesting thread a while ago about Colin Fletcher and his books.

I'd like to bring up another author.

Ed Buryn wrote VAGABONDING IN EUROPE AND NORTH AFRICA in 1973, and VAGABONDING IN THE USA, with three different editions coming out in 1976, 1980, and 1983.

None are still in print, and they are not available for ereaders, so you have to order used copies.

They were both highly recommended by the old Whole Earth Catalog. (There's a blast from the past.)

Reading the reviews for them on Amazon, it's interesting that almost every reviewer said that reading these books was a life-changer for him.

I own both, and they were great reads!

Regards
John

I think I still have one or two of the old Whole Earth Catalogs themselves in my stored books. But that just shows how much "stuff" I have to go through and get rid of. LOL

Mine is sitting over there on the coffee table.  I still enjoy flipping through it.   Seems like I can learn something
every time or understand it better.

I just started reading Harper Lee's "Go Set A Watchman" last night.   The first 3 chapters are enjoyable
to me having spent summers in Texas as a little kid and experiencing the South and it's old customs.
