Just a quick note regarding law enforcement in AZ. Be sure to have everything on the outside of your vehicle within the state guidelines. My wife just drove across AZ as she has done hundreds of times, and many times in our pickup truck/camper rig and was stopped for a piece of metal on our rear receiver mounted platform crossing the license plate. Keep in mind that has been that way for the 8 or so years we have had that truck and we have driven all over the west, Mexico, Belize and Guatemala in it.

When he stopped her, he did a super thorough check of her papers and asked many questions regarding weapons, firearms, etc. I am just passing this on for what it is worth to you.

Everything was in order so she just got a warning. I will definitely move the plate to be in line with the law and give them one less thing to stop us for.

Bri

hey Bri! I don't care. My forearms are legal in Pa. They can't dis-arm me in Arizona.......

An Arizona Law that was pUt into effect sometime Last year states that the vehicLe's State of origin cannot be covered. The state is making a kiLLing on peopLe passing throUgh with License pLate frames. Not to mention aLL the residents that don't keep Up with the Law makers.

ALso, it seems to me that the state is going oUt of it's way to bring in more money. In the LittLe podUnk town with one paved road officers ticketed 56 peopLe one iseek, 28, the previoUs week and 42 the week before that. This is in a one day operation, each week.

Not saying the peopLe didn't deserve the ticket. The road is a 40 miLe straight away that jUst aboUt begs yoU to go 80. However, it's open range and the speed Limits are cLearLy marked. The inteLLigent LocaLs KNOW that the officers are going to be watching on certain days and Understand that 1500 Lb. cattLe are a road hazard worth sLowing down for. The toUrists headed to the skywaLk can't seem to do the speed Limit
Ha,ha,ha, Katie....you must have gotten the post before I edited it....BUT, I have no doubt your forearms are both registered (after all you were a 'registered nurse') and you are not dis-armable although you can be very dis-arming....

Interesting Cyndi! I think I have been stopped for speeding in the city limits of a couple little towns in Nevada and both times got a nice copper who gave me a warning and just did a quick check of my DL and registration and insurance....and wished me a nice day....did I say I like Nevada????

I wasn't aware you were in AZ now? I be interested in the story when I see you at the rondy.....
Bri
hey bk2valve
I have to chime in regarding your positive comment on Nevada...a few years ago I was in Virginia City Nevada...spent the nite imbibing too much moonshine type drink at the Bucket of Blood Saloon...left my car illegally parked downtown with the keys locked in it.. next morning.went to the sheriff office...guy in barefeet, beard and suspenders in there turned out to be the sheriff (looked like Santa Claus) who summoned a uniformed, smartly dressed officer with a slimjim...we walked back to my illegally parked car...I was hung over, expecting a serious hassle by the crisply dressed cop...he got the car open and asked if i was having a good time in Nevada!!!!!!!!!!! No ticket....No hassle...couldn't have been any nicer.....really the best experience I ever had with law enforcement..anywhere.....I LOVE Nevada!

Glad you caught the sunrise on film this morning, Mr. Putz! It was the best one yet!
