I've been a vandweller for the better part of 10 years, but I'm about to have my first RV!

The story is that this last bit of vandwelling ended up with me stopping to visit a friend after being alone in the woods for a while. He asked me to stick around.

Now, the transmission in my little Voyager is getting old and crotchety. Recently I've been trying to sell it and get something else, but it turns out my buddy has a '77 dodge class C that he's willing to trade me for my van and $500.

Edit: Here's a pic I snapped tonight.

Is there a "Like" button that I can push? Really happy for you!

cool for you! been keeping my eyes open for just such a deal.... few and far between though...

Hey Fluffabear! Good for you. A sweet sized camper. Is that a Mobile Traveler? I have always enjoyed how they looked and they made one that size.

Nice camper FluffaBear. I am always considering a lil bigger rig myself.

This is a '77 dodge sportsman, complete with orange shag carpet ^_^

A nice sized unit for one traveller. Nice conveniences as well

Alright, I got it cleaned up a little. I'll have to replace all the seals in the windows, repair the a/c fan, and some other small repairs. My buddy is going to handle the mechanical updates (needs to be timed, new plugs/wires/filters, oil change) and it should be road-ready in time for the RTR!

It has been dubbed "Shaggy" by Tammi, which I like.

Here's a few pics.

I thought I dubbed YOU Shaggy (actually, I believe Steve thought of that, after you dubbed him that other name, which will not be discussed in open forum. lol). It does make a good name for the van though, and I have to say, I'm kind of diggin' the kitchen cabinets!

HA! I'm not very shaggy though.

Lol. We can fix that!

Update again: There's a leak above the bunk. Gonna need to rip out all the ceiling carpet and whatever is under that and replace it. Boo.

Awww, that sucks, sorry Shaggy. I mean Fluff. Super sad that you'll lose part of that carpeted ceiling, too!()

I'm gonna install new carpet up there when it's done.

Hi Olie.....I just subscribed to your blog....I LOVE your new-to-you rig as it comes alive for you....too bad about the leak, but at least it appeared before too much damage..I hope......

Sorry to read about Grandpa but very cool he could give your Mom away to her new hubby. Excellent she is so happy.

We lived in Boise a few years...wife worked at the NIFSE Fire center.....and began my sidecaring there....I LOVED Chinden road...man what a lot of cool stuff to look at rig-wise plus an excellent motorcycle salvage yard. My wife called it "Fudge road" since there were so many distracting rigs...I would see something else I wanted every drive out there.

I drove for an outfit called Action Couriers in the summers, so got to drive that road all the time...hehehe

Hope to meet you at the RTR....you will fit right in...talk about a lot of tattoos...even the old folks are getting them....Bob is a freeking billboard any more...LOL
Peace,
Bri

Bri, you're makin me blush!

But seriously, thatnks! Can't wait to meet up at the RTR.

Nice one! It looks very homey and yeah, love the cabinetry... I hope to make the leap myself one day into an actual RV... Just waiting for the right one and the right funding to come online...
--Rod
