Mouse populations peak around now. As it gets cooler they will be looking for warm places, and food, in droves. Setting traps proactively for the next few months, depending on location, is a good idea.

IT'S A TRAP!

You fix your own stinkin solar from now on!

(Just call me Mr Excaped!)

That's why anyone who comes up my driveway must be incredibly ain't right and immediately eligible for two stinking badges and maybe even a Darwin Award.

Anyone for breakfast?

Already did that when I was 25. So I am all good for trapped and fed.  :D :p

I know the peppermint kept them out of my mom's shed. But they were Canadian mice so...... ;) Cats hate mint and they own several intelligent species in the universe so.... prehistoric toxic gas surviving mice might not like peppermint?

One can easily see how my decision logic is easily thwarted into misadventures. But I always listen to my Mom.

&@x!?&$ mice

Generator quit and I had to take it to Camping World because nobody else was open. $550 later and some hours I find out that mice have been up under there and chewed wires.  I find no turds inside the camper and no signs of mice at all.

I'm out and about now and move daily but am afraid when I go back home and am laid up after knee surgery I may have trouble again.

Any advice?

Read enough of this thread to see that you are kind to animals and don't want to harm them, that's fine. In that case you have only one option, make that Gen compartment animal/ insect/rodent proof. What ever it takes.

Just a thought, can you have someone run the wires thru conduit?  There is rigid and flexible conduit.

Are the people in this thread the same ones killing snakes a few months ago?

Thanks, I had someone try to get under there and look around. Couldn't quite do it. It's big enough for a mouse though.

I do love animals but don't hesitate to shoot and kill when I need to.
