Drilled some holes in my floor for fans. 2 under the battery box and one under the fridge.

nice, I like.

how do those fans work mounted horizontal/flat. I heard it causes premature bearing failure.

Not sure yet. I might not even need them, but I figured it wouldn't hurt while I was in there. I will be watching the temp once I have everything installed and running. They were $5, cheap insurance.
 
The fridge fan sits right under the coil, it worked out well. I still need to get the fridge installed, but I might have to adjust my cabinet because of the sink.

So close, and yet so far.
 
Got the shower pan finally as well as the second battery. Shore power inlet shows up today.

The pan is slightly smaller that originally spec'd. It's a 24x32 and the extra 4" leaves room for my battery drawer to not hit the wall.

Strongly considering a small insulated sub floor now.

$[/url]50, and they had my kitchen faucet 25% off, so it was score along with the door. Had I not already bought my sink, I could have gotten the exact sink I needed for $60 vs the $100 I paid. I need to check there first. They have my couch for $300, but the couch is just about the last thing since we can just chill on the bed.

Not sure what you are asking. I have 2 200Ah batteries connected to 400W of solar. Right now I don't have any AC needs, but I knew I would eventually so I added the inverter. The inverter is also a transfer switch so I can charge the batteries off shore power as well.

I will have the shore power wired up next weekend.
 
I think he means it's an inverter/charger with a built in transfer switch. highdesertranger
 
Look into the Renogy 12 volt 20 amp DC to DC converter''''easy item to hook up and if you get 3 or 4 cloudy days You can run the engine for an hour and charge up your batteries
 
running your engine for an hour will not charge your batteries. you would need to run it for 4 hours minimum could be up to 8 hours. sitting there idling your engine for long periods of time is not good for the engine or the alternator. highdesertranger
 
I have a 200A isolator that I haven't installed and I almost bought the 40A DC/DC charger, but I haven't quite decided. I want to also add a 140A alternator, it's on the list.

that's all fine and good but you still won't get your battery charged in an hour. it's just the nature of batteries, you can't get them to 100% charged in an hour. that is why solar is so popular. it charges all day.

Is the 140A alternator to charge the battery bank while driving?? If it is, will you let us peek at how you will wire it up and links to where you are getting your parts for that? I would love that info.   ~crofter
 
Not much work getting done because it's cold. I got notice that my Afterburner heater controller is on its way, so looking at mounting and plumbing of diesel heater this weekend.

Not sure if I can tap into the diesel fuel line or if I will run a feeder yet.
