Thank you for that information. I wouldn't have thought that there would be places that don't take a debit card or credit card. It would appear I will have to have money on hand. Cheers.
 
Not only that but sometimes "the network is down" and although they would normally take your card, they currently can't. Then it's good to have cash.

Usually you will see a sign stating no credit or debit under $10. It is common in small town america, not so in chains. I checked my three debit cards. They refund 100% if notified following receipt of bank statement. I tend to check my account on-line every day or two. There is no way my account can be "drained" as there is a daily limit on withdraws.
