Free RV site for Forest Service volunteers, Flagstaff

The Flagstaff Forest Service[font='Open Sans', sans-serif] Ranger District is now putting out a call for volunteers for this summer and throughout the year. Most[/font][font='Open Sans', sans-serif] volunteers spend only the summer in Flagstaff. The Forest Service gives them free access to RV sites at the base of Mount Elden in exchange for 24 hours of work a week for about three months.[/font]

[font='Open Sans', sans-serif]Volunteers significantly expand the capacity of the district’s recreation department.[/font]
[font='Open Sans', sans-serif]In addition to working in the woodshop making signs, they help with the Preventative Search and Rescue program, the maintenance and cleaning of Forest Service cabins and interpretive ranger talks.[/font]

If you just want a site, frequently with full hookups (sometimes including propane), there are opportunities many places in the US at http://volunteer.gov/ .

Wow that is cool, thanks for posting. If I weren't already somewhere I now want to be (northern New Mexico-it's freakin' beautiful here) I would go and do that. Love that area.
