Any thoughts on a Ford with the 5.4l.
I hear better to avoid and stick to Chevy.
My number one is: reliable and not a money pit.
Year:  2011
Make:  Ford
Model:  E-350
Mileage:  110,000
Engine:  5.4L Gasoline
Transmission:  Automatic

You will probably get around 12 mpg with that, but the 5.4L and the E-350 are a good combination.

Mine is a 2009 E-250 with the 4.6L and I bought it at 104,000 miles. Three years later still going!

Ford still produces that engine, it's in its 5th generation now and is a small block work horse. Well maintained that engine can take you a long way down the road...

Agreed. I got an E350 with the 5.4L for that exact reason. It is one of their most produced engines (implying it was quite successful), and any shop in the middle of nowhere has worked on one and shouldn't have any problems sourcing parts.

I imagine that thing will be quite reliable...
