I agree. Spaceman has offered up much of what I think when I see blogs and you tube videos of folks breaking laws while boondocking. Not only does it worry me for future access to BLM land...but it just isn't cool to do. Law enforcement watches this stuff too. Sure hope we can still do this when I can finally retire.

I thought about selling my house but changed my mind. I am going to will it to my daughters, they can sell it or rent it out to make some money, or let the grand kids live in it.

This was the kind of discussion i've been hoping for!

My biggest fear is def government getting involved, So i am glad there are people who are against this way of living... makes things easier for us. Tho it seems many are starting to see that its a viable way of living, and more people are getting into it... I guess only time will tell.... we will have to find ways to adapt maybe in the future.

No no no no no !

If everyone sold their house and started living like us ,,,,there wouldn't be enough places to park !
The roads would all look like Los Angeles !
The deserts and forests would be covered with camping people !
There would be lines at the propane fill !
The dump stations would all be full !
Van's and campers would cost a LOT !

No no no no no !

Somebody please wake me up !
Bad dream , bad dream , bad dream !

You're awake, You're awake!!

I agree 100% with RV Popeye,  if everyone did it all the natural spaces would be ruined.  They estimate about one million people live in RVs, and a 320 million people live in the US, so just picture your favorite camping spots being 320 times more crowded every time you went there.  I'm not a city person at all, which makes me a minority in this world, but I'm perfectly fine with that.  I like that the majority of our population loves their cities because that keeps the beautiful places wide open for people like us.  Now i'm all for anyone wanting to join us, I'd never try and talk anyone out of the life style but do I want to convince the millions of people living in major cities?, Nah.  But it all goes back to what makes this big country so great, plenty of space for everyone to live the different lifestyles they want to live.
