Awhile back when it was colder than all get out I was twiddling my thumbs in the van and decided to make some cookies on my Big Buddy heater.
Below you will find a series of pics that tell the story. This piece of angle iron I used you can purchase @ any hardware store. If you cut the angle iron off at the right spot on the holes that are oblong it will hook right onto the grill of your heater.
Pictured you will see some cookies I made with the stove and a tin foil cover. I've also discovered that this piece of angle iron works well for cooking brats, hotdogs and hamburger shaped like brat or hot dog. I just lay them on the angle iron and put a drip can under the end of the angle iron to catch the grease. Hey as long as you've got the heater on to keep warm; you just as well use it to cook too.

It is simply a walmart cookie sheet lying on the angle iron. No coating on the angle iron.

Have you ever been worried about things dripping down and catching fire on the heater? I think I would be terrified of that.

Bob,
I thought of that when I first used it. I think if you put, like a brat, to close to the heater it might spatter on the flame. I always put it a ways out; and the angle is tilted so grease DOES run out the end onto a piece of tinfoil, a can or whatever you put out there.

maybe put the heater inside a cooking pan to catch any splatter or flaming drips.

Is there something should be doing differently? When I click on the thumbnails, the pictures display huge on my computer; like 4 or 5 times my screen size. - Spiff

P.S.: Terrible thing to do to a guy trying to loose weight.

Already got a 32" screen. Any bigger and I'll get a crick in my neck from having to look up so high.

they show up fine on my 15". when they first load they are huge but just wait a second or two and they auto resize, at least on mine. highdesertranger
