Conversion Van... what's the catch?

So i've been looking around for a clean conversion van, low miles, and I came across this in my state no less, with less than 15,000 miles on it and it's only $6500.
Seriously?!  am I missing something?  that's practically a new vehicle.  Since there is no picture of the odometer, maybe they put the comma in the wrong spot and left out a digit? :huh:

Phone number for seller looks like it tracks back to a salvage dealer. Vehicle is prob a salvage title. Not positive though, would have to have the Vin and it wasn't available for me.

IIWM, I'd be hoping that they missed a digit on the mileage one way or another.

If it really only has 15G on the odometer, it's been sitting somewhere for many, many years which is probably more problematic than higher mileage.

The only way to find out is to go see it and inspect it with a fine tooth comb and a good mechanic!

The catch is $6,500 for a 20 year old van along with only having been driven 750 miles a year best case, worst case more in any single year and sitting unused for many years. I would run from that thing personally.

I caught the color thing too. "Brown"..... looks silver in the pic. But then, the title and registration of my minivan says "green" when it is obviously gray-blue, and my 1988 Ford E150 title and reg says "Cream" when it has cream pinstripes on a bronze and dark brown body!
The mileage disturbs me too.....

Only beef I have with conversion vans is appliances are usually outmoded and not efficient, otherwisw I have bought salvage titles and other than a brake/light test have been happy.

I purchased a vehicle that had been stored in a barn for several years. Got a good deal on it, or so I thought. The mice and squirrels chew the heck out of the wiring. I got rid of it after only about 5 months of fighting it. If a vehicle has been sitting for a while, that could be problematic.

From the header, it looks like 2 vehicles for sale....but only one is described.

i'm no expert but i wouldn't pay $6500 for a '95 no matter how nice it looked, unless there was $5000 in the glove box
