Close to retirement, we travel greatly in a Class B camper. Had planned on going FT, except DW has to care fo her mother to a great extent. Still, nothing beats the B for travelling and boondocking.

We'll have our summers free, at least, in a year or so. Our son can have the house...

They can be found at very good prices - the overhead sleeping area is fantastic for storage, and we love the sit-down shower. The headroom is great, as well, and we never feel cramped. We just hop in and travel - no travel plans required.

Whne we first got it, we thought we'd have to hit a hotel every now and then to 'stretch': hasn't happened yet, and we've been all over the country.

The one pitfall to this design is gas mileage: the top adds wind resistance. We got 15 mph when the tires were overinflated, but about 12 - 13 on properly inflated tires.

Hi! Seraphim! I'm sorry to hear your of MIL's health woes. Welcome to the forum!

Seriphim, glad go have you here. I like the "B", , kinda like the upscale more refined cousin ( that went to finishing school , ha ha) of what my bus "Buford" wants to be...

That's a good looking "B" Welcome! I recognize your name from somewhere, perhaps rv.net? Can't remember, haven't been able to get on there for many months!

Look forward to hearing about your travels!

Thanks all for the welcome. The forum seems to be populated by a lot of interesting people, and I'm enjoying the articles and posts.

VanTramp, I do visit rv.net and I recall seeing your handle as well. Haven't had any problems accessing the site though. Solutions here seem a bit more creative. Iwant to try that solar oven lol

Thank you both - it was a lucky find: only 25K miles on a 12 year old unit. We were looking for something larger and stumbled on to it. Keep an eye out and they can found for sale all over.

Not exactly stealthy, but good for casino lots, truck stops, Walmarts, etc. The house battery just bit the dust, so I'm going to add a couple to the system while I'm at it, for longer periods of dry camping.
