Don't they make that now with pots? Garden pots that is. I saw it somewhere on the ole web.

I changed the link and now it gives a redirect to the site. Seems to work.. damn internet is a PITA sometimes! ..Willy.

I find that refrigeration makes a HUGE difference in my food choices and, indeed, allows me to buy cheaper (and often fresh) items and keep stuff like leftovers for however long I wish. I'm lucky re. what I have, but there are those that just can't afford something decent; one of these units might just do the trick. ..Willy.

I like the link! It has the virtue of using abundant and usually free good old H2O.

If you have the money to buy some ice & salt, consider:

Ice and salt. We use it to make homemade ice cream. The reason ice and salt works to make ice cream is because it is a refrigeration phase change processs. Using a thermometer you will see that when you put salt on ice the mix shoots down to better than 10 degrees below zero (F). When my family makes ice cream and leaves the ice salt mix in the bucket - the ice mix is still there in the morning.

My point is this: A well insulated cooler with just ice in it will only get down to 32 degrees. Mix salt with it and you have the coldest beer in town.

WRONG.. you HAD the coldest beer in town, till all the mooches found out about it. Need a 'decoy cooler' with some warm 'n nasty brew: 'Help yourself bro.. beer's in the cooler.' Ahhh-HAHAHAAA! The looks on their faces! ..Willy.
