Unfortunately the first log entry is not very pleasant.  We were relocating and our pilot, Mrs bLEEp failed to take into account our clearance, tried to go under a tree and ripped a panel off.  Fortunately for us the panel got stuck in the tree and it is a minor repair.  The panel is fine, only damage was in a cord.  I have a fourth 100 watt renogy eclipse panel I need to mount, so it's going to be a day of roof work for me on Monday.
More to come soon when I have a stronger signal.

Yes, good to hear from you. I've got an idea about clearance if you have a minute? Get a set of those old fashioned twin trucker CB antennas, mount them on your mirrors where they can be seen from the Captains seat, eyeball them to where the top of them is even with the topmost part of your solar panels. You then have a set of curb feelers for the top. Might even stick tennis balls on them. You will never be in doubt about clearance again. :)

Yay! Finally a Captains log from you! Hope you are having a great time in CO. Miss you both!

Probably gonna have to do an unscheduled EVA....or get repairs done on the hull at the nearest orbital outpost.

Make sure that your 'gravity' boots are all powered up on dilithium and also, no '420' while on duty!

69? You're on your own on that one.

1977? T'was a terrible year for Bordeaux Wines...

:p

Come on up bLEEp. We got ladders and tools and glues and crimpers and.....

... lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

So I see a bunch of responses but nothing from the Bleeps - did the original post disappear into the outer regions of the Galaxy? Or the Black Hole of the interwebs?

Hmmm

I think we are a bit light on the tiger side but bears and lions we got covered.

bLEEp has had a reocourance of an old medical problem.  He will get back to this tread.

His first post was posted way after the fact.  I will talk to Ms B, and have her make him sit down and do his homework.   :D

Hello all!
bLEEps reporting. So far so good, I will attempt a quick overview and then try to get all of the photos so far gathered and resized. The story line will be in part Mrs b as my memory is not the greatest due to some of the medical conditions Got Smart spoke of.
The first leg of our journey was a short hop from the Ozarks north and east to STL where we spent a few days BBQ and visiting family for a few days. We did spend the afternoons at grants farm, the Budweiser Clydesdales and numerous other animals that live at the farm were on display and they serve free beer :). We had lunch in the biergarten and decided to head out as it was well over 100 degrees, beer and heat do not mix well.
We then stopped to see close friends west of STL where we spent a weekend rocking out like pornstars. The drive west was welcome after nearly two weeks of goodbyes and celebrations.
We arrived in Denver in about days time where we spent the first night at a TA lot. Nice facilities and kind service.
After the first night we cruised on into Longmont CO to visit more family. I took the Mrs and her momma for a tour of Denver and all it has to offer a couple days where we acted like silly tourists downtown, ate good food and enjoyed plenty of denvers finest in many different forms.
We went to see the hotel from the shining which is where I ran into trouble.
It was myself, the Mrs, Mom in law, sis in law, bro in law and their three kids 4-6-9, also Molly the wonder dog, as always.
We all met up in WalMart parking lot and headed for the mountains. We got to Estes Park and I had been feeling strange for a few days. As we were waking up to the tourist attraction I fell out and suffered a gran maul seizure. I got pretty scraped up and pulled some muscles, but I got back up and we headed to Rocky Mountain park. The park was so amazing, we had a nice BBQ lunch and went for a couple short walks in the mountains and played in the rivers. What a great time considering.... we then traversed one of the highest elevation roads in the US to 13,000 feet, and I got to touch snow in august, super cool. I got to see tons of local wildlife both flora and fauna. Such a great time with the wife's family.
Next the wife and I spent a couple days in boulder and surrounding areas to gear up for the next leg of our journey to Oregon.
I thought that this would be a boring drive, boy was I wrong. There were some dull portions but the scenery and the changes kept my attention the whole time.
I had never been west of Colorado prior so I have marked four more states off the list.
We stopped at a place called little America to spend the night. A nice place to hang out, very nice lounge and good wifi. The prices on food and stupid beer laws of Utah were a bit disconcerting, but the scenery and just heading west beat all of that out.
First day in Oregon we saw more friends and I saw one of the most beautiful medical marijuana gardens I have ever seen and I went to school for horticulture. 10 feet tall and three feet around emerald green lovelies swaying in the mountain air. We spent the night with those folks after dinner and a great night of everyone getting aquainted. Next morning we headed to yet another family members home in the mountains for some need R and R time from our relaxing. Hahahaha.
We've been hanging here in the foot hills for a few days and took Bertha to her first music festival. Blues Booze and Bronze, an awesome day, a little much needed rain and even a rainbow over the venue. Next we are headed a little further west, a few days near baker city then Eugene area and then south to. Cali and wind up in quartzsite to restock and find work as well as plan spring travels.
I hope you are all well and can not wait to see you in quartzsite.
Can not wait to see Got Smart and the ladies from our he little gathering down in MO.
You guys better not leave me hangin, I will need interpreters and explanation of my bLEEps and bLIpS.
Lots of love everyone.

Good day everyone!!!
So if everything continues to go as planned it looks like we will be in the Eugene, OR area for at least two or three weeks, maybe longer.
We made the decision to stop, rest up, make a little more money and restock supplies.
So if anyone knows of near things to see or do while we are there, please let us know.
Cammalu, the photos will be up soon, I need to resize them and will post them all with caption when I have access to a device with a real keyboard
Lots o love lady!
See you, and hopefully many more of you real soon.

Hey hey!!!
Currently in Florence, thanks Gary, and loving it!  We are getting the coffers restocked and getting ready to head south through California and on to RTR.
Amazing story:
So we met Mrs bLEEps mom out here in Eugene and we went to have lunch and decided to take Molly dog to the beach for the afternoon.  We are walking down the trail to the beach and I was greeted by two very funky, very cool looking people a little older than me.  I smiled and continued following Molly to the beach, note Thisbe I said the first time I had ever seen the Pacific.  As I continue doing walking I hear Toni's mom screech in happiness and laughter ensued.  I turned to see her mom hugging the older hippies i smiled at.  Turns out she knew these folks from MO.  So these two amazing souls invited us to their land while we make some money.  They'd took us to a picn for medical growers which was amaze-balls! So we have a spot to park, it is under HUGE old for trees and they even have a redwood out back, never seen one of those before either. They allowed us to plug in and use wifi and I found work five minute walk away. They both have absolutely amazing stories to tell and are such kind caring people, especially since they have never met me before....
So that is awesome as can be.
Also, I have not had a drop of booze in two weeks, so we are saving money and I feel great!
Everything is going sooo well for us right now. The only downside is this fucking smoke, poor Toni has COPD (don't smoke cigs kids) and it is tearing her up, even I have a scratchy throat, thank god we are on the coast.
The dunes are so incredible and Florence is an adorable town. We parked Bertha on a side street in old towns Florence across from the lumber yard and in front of the museum, I believe it was first street, no troubles at all, so many RVs and vans in Florence, we felt right at home. So we will be here until probably the first of next month and then will head on down through California. Sorry not to many updates, but we are busy busy busy.
We did start a YouTube it is called driving Bertha. I only have one shitty video up, but as I learn I hope to put up more and better quality.
I can not wait to see you all at RTR!
Lots of love,
bLEEps
