Know of one an old man in rural KY who sold his house on acreage, that was worth 120k at that time, for 10k to a slick out of state man back in 2012. His son was really mad later.

Why would his son be mad as it was his dad's not his? I wanted nothing material from my folks & don't plan on leaving any property to my kids. It usually causes family fights caused by the spouses many times. I taught them how to work smart & both passed up full 4 year scholarships to State. Both are doing Great. My oldest is making near or over $150k as a lineman & instructor & loves what he does. I never did college either & always did well.

You've been told earlier people make their decisions based on their financial and life situations and some of us are moving overseas, its not that hard to understand. Im homeless right now with no one to help if something bad happens, like a lot of others, not cool to make fun of us in "f u I got mine" kind of way.

Really amusing that people, who bought way before current price increases and are not familiar with the market, are telling me how to search for land, I had lived, searched and owned places all over this country in the past and my close fam even got decades old succesful real estate business

Going by this thread, looks like I could work some hapless elderly boomer convincing them to sell me way below market beause they dont know how to use the internet, and I had seen this done, but this is not what I would want to do.

That boat of cheap land had sailed in 2020, sorry.

Im just sitting back and enjoying my popcorn watching the market now and not even looking in America. Got 3 citizenships, two of these countries don't allow non citizens to own land, thanks goodness, and will give me free land if I put livestock on it, I can also have free log house on the land if I fix it up. You people aready got so brainwashed that extremely expensive things are "cheap" this is ridiculous, yeah and eggs are cheap too, I know. Good luck, keep drinking that kool aid.

I know a lot about various US regions land, from being there in person and extensive research over many years, just thought to share it here, thats all.
